Department of Education has notified higher education institutions about multiple errors with the processing of some FAFSA data. 某些处理错误阻止了机构, 包括俄亥俄州, from providing an accurate 金融援助 Offer that includes federal, state and institutional need-based aid; however, some students may receive a 金融援助 Offer with institutional aid, 比如奖学金. If we are not yet able to provide a 金融援助 offer, we will reach out by email with additional information or requests for documents. If you haven't filed a FAFSA yet, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible!

    We recognize the delays in federal FAFSA processing this year have been stressful for students and families.     The completion rate for this year's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is down nearly 25% as of late April, and yet filing a FAFSA is the single most important thing you can do to get money for college. 完成FAFSA gives you access to federal student aid — the largest source of aid — along with state and institutional aid. FAFSA submission is also required for some scholarships at 俄亥俄州, and you don't have to have 金融 need to be eligible. You are not obligated to accept any types of 金融 aid offered, including loans. 完成FAFSA gives you and your family 金融 options, so submit the FAFSA today!

俄亥俄州 is closely monitoring how changes to the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are impacting students and families. We will post any updates to our process and timelines here to keep you informed.

  • FAFSA发射: While the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is normally available October 1 each year, 由于这些重大的变化, the 2024-25 FAFSA was delayed until December 31. The December release date is only applicable to the 2024-25 FAFSA. The 2025-26 FAFSA is expected to be available October 2024.
