Osteopathic Heritage Foundation Award

In 2011, the OHF approved the $105 million 2020年愿景: Leading the Transformation of 初级护理 in Ohio 奖: transform the Heritage College into a nationally prominent institution that trains primary 护理 physicians to serve the rural and underserved areas in Ohio. 凭借这个奖项, the Heritage College is addressing some of the most pressing health 护理 issues across the 状态 and the nation—including the impending shortage of primary 护理 physicians and the diabetes epidemic. Our goal is for these changes to propel us to the forefront of primary 护理, medical education and 研究 among all medical schools nationally.

In 2018, the Heritage College began working with the OHF and newbb电子平台 leadership to re-envision the OHF 2020年愿景 奖. 的 purpose of this re-envision was to align the remaining funds to deliver the greatest impact, 专注于资本投资, 研究和奖学金.

2020年愿景 includes strategies to increase the number, quality and training of primary 护理 physicians practicing in Ohio; to advance clinical 研究, 护理, access and training; to strengthen community outreach; and to support the development of a consortium of central Appalachian colleges of osteopathic medicine. Since this 奖 was announced in 2011, the Heritage College has made exceptional progress in meeting the 2020年愿景 目标和目的, 包括建立新的伙伴关系, expanding 研究 and educational opportunities and attracting national interest in the Heritage College’s mission and accomplishments.

One of the major initiatives of the 2020年愿景 investment was to create a central Ohio extension campus. This vision was realized with the 2014 opening of the Heritage College, Dublin. 的 increased visibility created many additional opportunities, as demonstrated by one of the most significant – the 2015 opening of the Heritage College’s third campus in Cleveland.
